My hero [Abraham Lincoln] ③

　Third, I respect his influencing power. I always want to be influencing

person. It means my talent isn't just for me, so I want to use that and help

other people to be happy. His life was like that. When he became the

president, he did his best to make an emancipation of slaves. He used his

influencing power for others, although it isn't easy to do. This is because he

should fight with the rich to solve problem of slaves. If he was selfish and

just strive to himself, he wouldn't try to make an emancipation of slaves,

and as the result many people still respect him as a great man. I don't

want everyone to live just for themselves. If we think each other, our lives

will be more beautiful and wealth. I want my life to help others smile. What

a nice life is ! I think it's a real rich and happiness. Let's have a vision to
　
have a influencing power. I want to live like him. How about you ? Do you
　
want to change your life? If you wan to do, you should take an action. It's
　
so difficult, but it's so important! I think good imitate leads to good result.
　
Let's imitate his life! Maybe it'll help our life to be more happy.

　Second of his strength is his good character. he was a man of sincerity,
　
honesty and kind. I think it's so important point in our lives. He always
　
honesty, did his best and kind even it;s a trifle. For example, if someone
　
give him more money than its price, he always paid the money back
　
directly even it takes so long time.It leads people to believe him and they
　
recommend him to run for election. Do you want to receive much
　
recognition ? It's not difficult! This is because it can do as you make efforts.
　
It doesn't need much money or impossible something. Anyway not only
　
that, but he never never gave up! You know what, when you do something,
　
you always have trouble. It makes you to give up, but you should overcome
　
that. To do that, you need patient an to keep going. Maybe it'll be your
　
good back ground. I think his good mind was his background and basis to
　
be the president, although he was poor and didn't have any good record.

　I think hero is our model of our life. My hero is Abraham- Lincoln. You
　
know what, he is very famous for his work. He was the president of U.S.A,
　
make a success of his job, and achieve emancipation of slaves, but it's not
　
the reason why I respect him. I am going to look at his life and learn from
　
his strengths. I think there are a lot of things to learn in his life. His hobby
　
was reading books. When he was young, he really liked reading books, so
　
it gave me him a vision. Actually his father was a farmer and wanted his
　
son to be a good farmer, but he didn't want to do that. I think reading books
　
let him see more of life and widen his experience. Maybe it helped him to
　
be able to stand alone, and don't just stay as a farmer. I think it's the first
　
secret of his success. Books give lessons to us and make us change.
　
Actually they have a strong power to make us aware of somethings
　
important in our lives an change into wiser people. If you want to see bigger
　
world and have bigger vision, let's read books. I think it a matter of regret
　
that many students don't like to read books, although it is good for us. I
　
know to start is always difficult, but if you start to do that, you can be
　
changed like him.

Chuseok

　Chuseok is one of the big holidays in Korea, and it is so similar with

　

Thanks Giving Day.It is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the

　

lunar. Actually, we go to our hometown, meet our relatives, share our food,

　

and see full moon. I think Chuseok is so fruitful, because of full moon. A

　

round full moon makes it more fruitful and beautiful. Anyway, originally we

　

go our hometown, but this Chuseok I didn’t go our hometown, JinYoung.

　

This is because of my sister. Actually, I have a sister who is 18 years old

　

and Theresa Girls High School second year student. You know what,

　

Students of Korea is trained so tough, so she had to study although it’s on

　

Chuseok. We stayed at home, so we couldn't’t meet our relatives and earn

　

some money. It means when we meet our relatives, they allow us some

　

pocket money. I was so happy, Chuseok let me take a rest.

　This story is about the number of obese children is increasing. I chose

　

this article, because I always want to be slim, so I am so interested in

　

obese and diet. Not only that , but I though it will be serious problem. You

　

know what, these day many people prefer to have a nice figure.

　

Actually 'diet wind' is making serious problem. For example, some one try

　

to be slim, it leads people to die. Of course it's wrong, but fatness isn't

　

good at our body, too. Fatness is a cause of many kinds of diseases, and

　

it'll block growth of children, so an increasing number of students are obese

　

and at least three our of four students has a health problem is very big

　　

problem. I think Western style eating habit makes this problem. Many

　　

people prefer fast food, because it is convenient to eat and it's special to

　

children. To solve this problem they should change their eating habit. I

　

think self-management is very important to each person, and body-

　

controlling is one of them. Maybe proper management is good for us. From

　

now on our children should change their bad eating habit and do exercise

Stumbling Blocks

　Actually there are a lot of things bothering my work. I think if I want to be

　

successful in my work, I should find the problem and solution. One of the

　

biggest problem is my laziness. I know I should study hard and

　

concentrate on my responsibility, but it is so hard to practice. Not only

　

that, but I feel tired very often, so I should sleep for a long time. I think I'm

　

poor at ithstanding sleepiness. How can I free from my laziness? I think I

　

should be time-manager. If I need more time to sleep, I could be able to

　

use my time which I have. To do that, I'll make a plan more specific : Write

　

everything which I should do and I can do, then check everyday how much

　

do I success. May be it helps me to keep my work, but it isn't enough to

　

me. To continue my work, I need some boosters. May be they will be my

　

family and friends. Actually, it is easy to be tired and disappointed with the

　

result of an examination, or myself, so I need their help. My tumbling

　

blocks second reason is my friend. I think well-intentioned race with friends

　

is good for us, bcause it can push-up and help each other. It makes our will

　

stronger than when we study alone, but the problem is when I study with

　

my friend I want to talk and play with them. If I concentrate on my work,

　

may be it's okay, but it's so hard to me. To solve this problem first of all I

　

should arrange my mind and concentrate on my object, and responsibility.

　

Then we make a rule. For example, make a rule, like this. "Let's don't

　

speak anything for an hour." Then if we break a rule, someone who obey a

　

rule should be fined five- hundreds won. Most important thing in this, we

　

should be severe with each other. Actually, if I want to be successful, I

　

should practice as I thought. If I don't practice, what's the good of having a

　

good plan? Everyday I should push up by myself and fight with myself. Not

　

only that, I should remember I'm a student, so my responsibility is studying.

The Death Car

　It was a cold raining night in September. Georage and Marie were going
　
to the house of their friends to celebrate the engagement of their daughter.
　
As they drove, they listened radio warning news. It was about a murder,
　
John Downey who killed six people before arrest, escaped from hospital. It
　
was so serious, but they had another serious problem, too. Their car had
　
some problems with the carburetor, so it made George pulled the car off
　
under a large tree. Then they had to walk to the nearest house in the rain,
　
but Marie was afraid to go in the dark, because of warning news. Finally
　
she hid in the back of the car under the blanket until he came back, and
　
they made a promise. It's when he came back if he knock three times, she
　
should open the door. She had not been waiting long, she heard a strange
　
cratching noise. She was frightened, but she thought it was somebody or
　
something. The knocking had never stopped all night long, but she didn't
　
now what to do. Suddenly police man came and said to her "You're safe,
　
and don't look back," because George was hanging from the tree above the
　
car, and the wind blew his body back and forth.

Typhoon

　A big typhoon formed and came to Korea. Actually typhoon has

　

very strong power, and it always makes us suffered a great damage.

　

For example, it can destroy some buildings or our crops, so it give

　

us economic-damage. I know it isn't always bad for us, because it can

　

clean up our seas, and control temperature of the earth. May be it's

　

very important to us. Anyway today what I want to say is we can't

　

control nature. Every time I meet a big typhoon, it makes me to think

　

about that. May be that is true, but I think many people make efforts

　

to fight with nature and win. It means human want to master over

　

nature, but I think it's impossible. The force of nature is very strong,

　

so we can't be insubordinate that. Let's think when our ancestor live

　

in the world. They loved nature and were provision of nature. How

　

about being provision of nature? Today I think typhoon say to us

　

how about living as the sparks fly upward .

Strive! Strive! Strive!

　Actually English is so difficult to study. If I'm a native speaker, how much

　

I'm happy. Especially listening and speaking is very difficult to me. These

　

day we are testing everyday our reading to improve our pronunciation. I'm

　

trying, trying, and trying to speak English more naturally. I know if I keep

　

going, I can get good score. I want to improve faster than now, but I know I

　

should be patient. Fruit of endurance is sweetest! You sew, you reap as

　

you sew! Heaven helps those who help themselves! Now I am deeply

　

impressed with this lesson. I am interested in reading with eyes and writing

　

English. It makes me fun! I think I should strive to love onunciation practice,

　

so it doesn't make me to be stressed out. It teaches me if I love to do

　

something, although I should invest my time in that, it isn't difficult, or

　

makes me be tired. Anyway, I expect that 'll smile someday, and it'll be a

　

good memory to me. Let's do my best! Be confidence! You know what life

　

that we can live just once I think we should put what we do to a risk. Let's

　

fight and win!

Common Sense

　Common sense means natural ability to make good judgments and to

　

behave in a practical and sensible way. It isn't under compulsion and rule,

　

but most of people think that is right. I think it's a small concern for other

　

people. Nobody teach us you should do like this, but we know we should

　

do that for others. For example, behave like this: Don't throw away trash.

　

When you go to the toilet, make a line and wait for your turn. Actually it's

　

so basic and easy to do. I think we should keep our commonsense, but

　

these day many people are unobservant even courtesy that is a foundation.

　

It raise many problems and fighting. I think it's so serious problem. How

　

about thinking about others? If we think about other people and their

　

situation, it'll be more easy to do. Don't think common sense is so boring

　

and it makes us to be bound. It's a just basic order to live people like one.

　

We should feel responsible for our acting. Maybe this is a very important

　

point, too. Nobody can live alone, so we should live together, and think

　

about other people. Let's put responsibility on your acting! It's up to you.

Strange Weather !

　These day, weather is so strange! I think this is because of global

　

warming. Actually this reason is fall, but it's so hot! It looks like summer.

　

It's very big problem, but nobody concentrate on this. Although we should

　

make an effort to prevent global warming, we are so inattention. It is defined

　

like this : Global warming is the gradual rise in the earth's temperature

　

caused by high levels of carbon dioxide and other gases in the

　

atmosphere. Actually, it isn't just problem of increasing temperature. An

　

increase in global temperatures cause other changes, too. including

　

glacial retreat and worldwide sea level rise. Maybe it can makes earth will

　

be exterminated. I think to solve this problems, first we should understand

　

how much serious this problem. Then we should make a solution, and

　

practice as our way. I don't know exactly how can we do to prevent this

　

problem, because I am not a professional. Just what I want to do is helping

　

you to know about this problems.

　This story is about Lee Myung-bak decision to respond to the

　

prosecution's investigation against CheongWaDea. I chose this article,

　

because the presidential election is very important, so I should have some

　

information about candidates. I thought he is a good leader to rule Korean

　
because I know when he was a Seoul mayor he managed his work very

　

well, so if he will be a president he will deal with our difficult problems and

　

be a good leader to love his country. With my expectation, now he is in

　

troubles. I think everyone have problems because we are human, I can

　

understand him, so I want him to overcome this problem like libel,

　　

defamation, and so on I have though the biggest problem of him is what he

　

wanted to hide his problem. He should respond to the prosecution's

　

investigation fair in front of a nation. If he stand up fair, maybe many people

　

understand and admit him. Because of this reason, could I'm happy to hear

　

this news. Presidential election is a very important thing, everyone should

　

concentrate on this and try to find a good leader. Actually I don't know

　

exactly who is a good person, but l am trying to find someone who fit to be

　

our leader. I know economic situation of Korea isn't good. If we want to

Why should we smile ?

　Do you know how much smile is influence ? I think smile have a very

　

strong power ! Let me introduce importance of smile. When you are tired

　

and angry, have you ever looked at yourself ? Maybe it's so terrible! It

　

makes you to be more unpleasant. I think smile makes us to be happy, not

　

only our selves but also other people, and it makes us to be positive which

　

is very important in our life. This is because smile always give us good

Change !

　I have thought change is always good for us, because it can give us good

　

result. For example if you were fat you can be slim. Maybe it's true, it can

　

help us to be more attractive, and stronger, but now I know change isn't

　

always good for us. I have realized there are two kind of change.

　

Sometimes it gives us bad result. For example, in human relations we can

　

meet change and we are disappointed with cooling off friendship. I think

　

this kind of change makes me to fall into sorrow. I know people can't

　　

always my friends have changed their mind. I want to be a constant

　

person. I think even if everything change, our mind should remain the

　

same. It's a very important thing in my life. We meet many people, and

　　

make many friends in life, but real friend is one who is always same. If we

　

are real good friends even if we don't meet for a long time, we will be able to

　

be comfortable, and on familiar.

Conversation with myself

　Now my second semester already has started! Of course I should face it,

　

and fight with yself. I know fighting with myself is a very difficult thing to do,

　

but it is necessary. From now on I should get up early, and concentrate on

　

my study, just studying English. I think time is gone, so fast! It's very fast!

　

Because of that reason, I want to be a good time-management. I know time

　

isn't enough to study English, because global program will be finished in

　

this year, and already I have used half of the time. Although it is true, if I'll

　

have a positive attitude and do my best, I'll harvest good crops. I think

　

how much time do I have isn't matter. How to use that is more important.
